I recently spent a three-day retreat at Azabu Retreat & Spa, and I found it to be both relaxing and marred by some issues. The serene location in the forest allowed for a peaceful ambiance, yet the rooms showed signs of wear and could use some updates. The spa treatments were a highlight, particularly Kirsty's wonderful massage, which I highly recommend.

I had a wonderful stay at Azabu Retreat & Spa, nestled among beautiful trees and just a short drive from Byron Bay. The peaceful atmosphere and attentive service enhanced my experience, especially with the delicious breakfast delivered to my balcony. However, I did encounter some noise from neighboring rooms, which slightly affected the tranquil environment. Overall, it was a lovely retreat that I'd highly recommend!

My stay at Azabu Retreat was a mixed bag. The tranquil setting offered a peaceful escape, but the overall experience left much to be desired. While the breakfast was fresh, the condition of the rooms was disappointing. It felt like the hotel could use some serious updating.

The rooms had beautiful views of the surrounding forest, but were sparsely furnished and in need of renovations. My balcony overlooked a bamboo fence, which detracted from the experience.

Service wasn't very welcoming. When I raised concerns about my room, the host's attitude felt indifferent and rude. I also had a troubling experience over the phone with a staff member who was condescending when I inquired about promotions.

My stay at Azabu Retreat & Spa was a mix of highs and lows. The hotel is beautifully located in the serenity of the Byron Hinterland, offering peaceful views and a great sense of seclusion 🌲. However, the rooms showed signs of neglect, and some facilities need attention. While the owner was friendly and accommodating, there were moments where service felt a bit lacking. Overall, it was relaxing but with areas for improvement.
